This presentation is available in a 20-minute format and is perfect for a breakfast session or lunch and learn. A 45-minute version is also available.
Identity Theft – How Scammers Become You … and You Pay the Price – While the rest of our economy may be just chugging along, these are boom times for Identity thieves and cybercriminals. Our seminar will give you information you need to protect yourselves from thieves who can ruin your credit rating, steal your home, and even send you to jail. Available in 60- and 90-minute versions.

Financial and Identify Fraud Workshop, April 11, 2026 – Protect Yourself from the #1 Crime on Cape Cod. CAC Executive Director Bruce Blackwell, District Attorney Rob Galibois, Bank America Manager Barbara Wiggins and Falmouth Police Sgt. David Massi will talk about how to discover and prevent financial and identity fraud, and what to do if you have been a fraud victim.
The focus on our presentation will be the psychological aspects of scamming … how scammers use 3 main techniques to win your confidence and steal your heart, your assets or both.

The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, at the Falmouth Community
Veterans Center, 300 Dillingham Ave. Refreshments will be served. Attendance is free, but registration is required. To register, email fcveteranscenter.org.
