Assistance Council
The Consumer Assistance Council is here to help! We want to hear from you, so please call or come in. We will listen to your problem and can help you complete an official Complaint Form. If we determine that mediation will help resolve your situation, we can arrange that, too. Mediation is voluntary on the part of the consumer and the business and, like all of our services, is done at no charge.
Complaints typically involve automobile repairs and sales, home improvement, debt collection and credit problems, shopping rights, and landlord/tenant disputes.
The Consumer Assistance Council, while working with the Attorney General of Massachusetts, does not give legal advice. Services are given to the elderly, people with disabilities, those with language barriers, and all others without regard to income. We do not have enforcement powers.
